Suggest Baby Formulas Suitable For A One-month-old As Breast Milk Is Not Sufficient
Hello doctor. This is Ligi. I have a one month old baby.I was feeding her with dexolac since birth as my breastfeed was not sufficient. But she is so lean n didn t gain weight ñ moreover she reduced from 3 kgs to 2.8. So i tried giving her lactogen 1. But since the time i gave she started to omit and also has diahorrea.what would u think is the cause and what do u think i should be doing
Newborn babies typically lose weight for the first ten days or so after birth. But then a healthy full-term infant should gain 15-30 grams a day. Unless a baby is fed too much or is not able to tolerate an ingredient in the formula, a good quality formula should not cause vomiting or diarrhea. Your newborn has lost ten percent of her body weight. It is urgent that you take her to her pediatrician immediately.`

Bottle feeding might be the culprit here. I suggest you that you stop feeding with a bottle (if you are using one) and use a spoon for feeding the kid. Bottle feeding is the most common reason for diarrhea and loss of weight in kids.
