Suggest Better Treatment For Chesty Cough And Difficulty In Breathing

age 38 height 5 8 & 10st11lbs while on holiday in turkey started with a tickley cough 2 weeks ago it has progressed to a chesty cough went to docs last monday given antibiotics 500mg amoxicillian sleeping sat up at night as lying flat i cough & cough so hardi can t catch my breath & im sick when yawning my throat closes

Hello welcome to the health care magic

You can have acute upper respiratory tract infection like bronchitis.

Complete the course of prescribed antibiotic.

Decongestant like levocetrizine can be prescribed.

Tiredness and sleepiness can be present because of infection and release of acute phase reactant in body.

Dextromethorphan syrup can be prescribed for cough (if dry cough)

If no improvement than chest x ray done to rule out pneumonia
