Suggest Better Treatment For Sticky Mucus And Blood In Stool Of A 4 Month Baby
My daughter is 4 months old. Passing sticky mucus and some times blood, in stool since 1 month. My pediatrician prescribed the follwing medicines: 1) Nutrolin-B 2)Colimix drop 3)Vizylac Syrup which she is already taken. Still the mucus is continuing. Kindly help

It seems your kid is having acute dysentery. Unless the kid's having low urine output or very dull or excessively sleepy or or green bilious vomiting...you need not worry.
As there is blood in the motion there is need for antibiotics, Preferably Oral Cefixime. I suggest you use zinc supplements & ORS along with Cefixime. For vomiting you can use Syrup Ondansetron 0.15mg/kg/dose thrice a day, 30minutes before feeds.
Kindly approach your doctor for antibiotic dosing.
