Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
For the 2nd time in two weeks I have been awakened by an irregular heart beat that sounds like it has no rhythm flip flopping and quite scary. This is accompanied by my ears hurting like where you would insert a q-tip. It lasts for about an hour and sometimes during the next day I feel like I just don't feel well. The first time it happened the day after at work I counted 50 heartbeats per minute, and my accupuncturist mentioned that my heartbeat was very slow. What do you think is going on?
You may be suffering from sinus bradycardia or sick sinus syndrome may be due to infection or heart block or drugs like beta blockers etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.
You have to consult your Cardiologist immediately he will take ECG, echo and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
