Suggest Cause For Constant Headache With Hot Flashes In Low BP Individuals

I have been experiencing frequent headaches and hot flashes over the past several weeks. A few days ago I got dizzy while I was sitting down and began to get cold sweats and feeling nauseous. On my way to go lay down, I fainted. I did not think to check my blood pressure until about two hours later. It was 83/49. I normally have low blood pressure but I have never known my diastolic to be that low. What is going on?

Hi,

Low blood pressure may well be the cause for the symptoms you provide. I suggest you measure it continuously for several days as one single measurement is not enough. If it is continuously at those values than some investigations may be necessary including a heart evaluation and some blood tests for endocrine deficiencies (such as adrenal deficiency, low blood sugar, etc.). Of course you must also make sure that you are well hydrated and eat regularly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
