Suggest Cause For Frequent Pulse In Ear With Jaw Movement

I have had a pulse above my right ear from back to front, followed by jaw movement to the right for about 3 weeks. It started as a tingling feeling above right ear. Then the next day a very strong pulse. It decreased in frequency and strength for the next couple of days. It has happened at that lower level every day since.

Hello,

I can understand your concern. Sometimes if the temporomandibular joint are is infected, the area around that joint which is responsible for closing and opening movements of jaw, you may feel tingling in the ear area as the joint is very near to ear.

I would advise you to visit a dentist for physical examination and x-ray of the joint cavity to rule out any abnormality of the joint area. If the joint area has no problem, then it might be an ear infection which should be checked by an ENT specialist.
