Suggest Cause For Low Lying Placenta With Cramps In Pregnant Woman

Dear Dr.,
My friend is 13 weeks pregnant and she has been diagnosed with a low lying placenta ( last week Thursday). She is suffering severe cramping to an extend that she is loosing her breath. She is seeking for a second opinion at the moment, but what is happening?

Regards

Hi,

I read your query and I understand your concerns.

Following is my reply:

1) Low placenta is not a concern as it is early pregnancy.

2) Placenta might slowly rise up.

3) Cramp need to be evaluated by a gynecologist.

Let me know if you have anymore questions.

Regards,
Dr. Mahesh Koregol
