Suggest Complications With Epididymo-orchitis With Testicle Hardness
I have epididymo-orchitis before one month and got treatment. But still have small pain and hardness feeling on the right testis. Actually at first the problem is with left testis, it's now in normal state I think, because the right testis showing hardness and little larger than left one. I do not able to understand which one is normal :(.Let me know is there any complication related to the my previous problem ? Thanks you. Haridas N.
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted your history of bilateral epididymo-orchitis since one month which you got treated for. But the right testis appears hard and larger and there is mild pain. This is the complication of epididymo-orchitis, wherein you get hardness and enlargement suggestive the chronic nature of the disease or some specific cause like tuberculosis or so. This indicates for further tests: - Tests of urine and semen culture and sensitivity - Ultrasonography of the scrotum with color mode too and of the abdomen. - Tests of blood and specifically for tuberculosis and so. - Clinical evaluation by a General Surgeon or Urologist to correlated all the findings. This will give further clarification and a plan for further treatment.
