Suggest Creams For Swelling And Itching

I was asking about procort hemmaroid cream. My insurance will not cover it and you(or someone) stated I could get this item OTC without a prescription. How? It is the only thing I have found that relieves the swelling and itching problems. I am using Cortaid type of creams now and they are working also. Thank you. Diane Chatfield

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi.
As per your case history of hemorrhoids, my treatment advice is -
1. Take food rich in green leafy vegetables to prevent constipation.
2. Have a proper cleansing of that region by taking a hot tub bath once daily.
3. Apply a calcium dobisilate plus hydrocortisone cream like Osil cream twice daily on it.
4. Take a NSAID like ibuprofen for pain.

If problem persists then consult a dermatologist or surgeon.

Thanks.
