Suggest Cure For Diarrhea, nausea And Vomiting

Hello, I have been up since 1am with diarrhea (every 15-30 min), nausea, vomiting (not since 7am thank goodness), slight stomach cramping, twitchy legs and sensitive skin. I've been able to keep small sips of fizzy lemonade and water down. Any ideas what this might be and how long till the diarrhea stops? Thanks in advance, Julie

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to a gastrointestinal infection. Some advices that I can give to you are:
-Take Imodium for diarrhea.
-Drink a large number of clear fluids to remain hydrated, but consume it in small sips at a time.
-Avoid solid foods of any kind until vomiting stops.
-Avoid using medications that may upset your stomachs, such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or corticosteroids.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
