Hi, My name is shashi ranjan. My age is 34. I have migrain from my child hood. I met with multiple doctors as AAIMS, PMCH, BHU. But I am not feeling well. Some of doctors suggest me to take vasograin as a pain killer. I am taking this medicine for last 5 years. Previously it was required once in one or two months. But current it required 2 or 3 in a week. I am also feeling few problems as uncomfortable in urine.
I read your query carefully and I understand your concern.
Medications like vasograin aim to relieve the symptoms of a migraine attack, but they do not have any benefit in preventing them. For that reason in people who have a frequency of attacks of 2 or more in a month like in your case preventive treatment is recommended which reduces frequency and severity of attacks. There are several preventive treatment drugs like antidepressants (amitriptyline), anticonvulsants (valproic acid, topiramate), beta-blockers (propranolol), calcium-channel blockers (flunnarizine). Some are more effective in some patients, some in others, at times different alternatives must be tried before finding the best one. They are all prescription drugs so you must talk with your doctor about their use and possible side effects.
I hope to have been of help.
