hi, i went to the doctors the other day as i found a little lump near my anus he put it down to being an external pile at about 10:00 o clock. i have also been having very smelly pumps like i farted a few times in my mums car and it smely for about 2 weeks(im sure it was the smell from me!) and ive been having rashes from time to time also itching is this all connected to the lump which the doctor says is a pile?
Noted your history and understood your concerns. The bad smelling farting may not be related to the lump in anus if it is a pile or hemorrhoid. I would advise you the following in such a situation: Get ano-proctoscopy and colonoscopy done to rule out any colonic pathology and to confirm whether the lumps is a hemorrhoid or something else. Send stool sample for lab for three consecutive days so that if any finding is positive, it can be treated accordingly. Take probiotics, curds and bananas. Stop the foods and beverages that produce foul smelling gases. You may need surgery for the hemorrhoid if it is grade 3 or 4.
Take care.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. T Chandrakant, General & ENT Surgeon
