Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 45 yr old woman who had severe ulcerative colitis which resulted in a resection of my large intestine and rectum. This summer I had a hamburger that was undercooked, and that caused me severe problems. It has been almost eight weeks and I am still experiencing diarrhea. I have noticed my stool has a very sweet-ish smell. Almost a pickled sweet smell. Occasionally I have uncontrollable diarrhea. Suggestions on a change in diet, an addition or subtraction from my diet?
Hello. Thanks for putting your query in hcm. Just avoid dairy products and fibres in your diet. Food should be properly cooked and if it is raw it should be properly washed. I hope I have answered your query and this will help you. Wish you a good health
