Hi,I am Neethu Vipin (Dietitian & Nutritionist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i am a 17 year old girl....eventhough after my puberty i am not escaped from underweight.....am just a skinny type..my parents and friends have a little bit of bad feeling at me due to this reason....will you help me by giving me tips in food and exercise to increase weight
Hello, here are some helpful tips I provide to clients who wish to gain weight: Eat at least five small meals and snacks each day. Take a look at what you eat now and try to increase the portion size. Eat 5-6 meals/snacks per day Eat high calorie heart healthy foods like nut butters or nuts, raisens or other dried fruit You may include high calorie milk shakes made with whole milk, frozen fruit, regular Greek Yogurt and honey. Cheese is high calorie, 1 oz = 80-100 calories Include avocados liberally, and put salad dressing on your greens
To gain weight you need to take in more calories than you burn. So, muscle strengthening would be better for weight gain than cardiovascular exercises.
