Suggest Diet To Control Blood Sugar Levels

Hi

This is dolly.I am suffering from diabetes since 10 years its in our family and i am working outside and stay in the campus and eating mess food where we have no choice we have to eat whatever we get.Now I just want to ask what should I eat to keep my sugar in control.can you please suggest me some diet chart I am an indian so please suggest me things which are easily available in india.

Hai,

Being a diabetic, fiber and non carbohydrate foods will help in controlling diabetes.
Take less amount of food (low calorie food) in multiple serving like 5 to 6 times.
adding more fiber vegetables and less sugar fruits in your daily intake.
add millets and multi grain foods in your diet plan.

Wheat bread,Chappathi,in the morning.

Brown rice with leafy vegetables in the after nnon add curd too.



Take nuts like steamed channa,peanut,green gram,groundnut in the evening.
For dinner take chappathi with dal.

fruits like lime,guava,pappya,pomogranate can be served in the evening.

avoid junk and fatty food.

kindly get an opinion from a nutritionist to plan a diet depends on your calorie need as per the above advise.

Brisk walk for 30 minutes needed both in morning and evening.

avoid junk foods,stress.

practicing yoga will be beneficial both in weight control and diabetes control.
