My father is 62 years old and he is a diabetic patient. Recently, we have noticed that his haemoglobin count has dropped to 65. I am little worried about the food intake for him. Could u plz suggest the best diet to get recover the haemoglobin count?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, I really appreciate appreciate your concern, if this is anemia then iron supplements is the best way but before that underlying cause of low hemoglobin need to be found out hope this information helps, take care.
hai, Thanks for consulting us. As your father hemoglobin is very low. only diet will not enough to compensate the hemoglobin level.
Kindly do rule out the cause for low level of hemoglobin. Your father can take iron tablets and folic acid with advise from your treating physician. before that cause should be fixed. However non veg foods like liver, meat and veg food like fig, pomegranate, ragi will help in increase your iron.
Thanks and regards Dr.S.Senthilnathan
