Hi! My name is Ehvjannea and I am CONSTANTLY COLD no matter what the temperature outside or inside. An aquaintance suggested that I might be low in Iron, and my question is: What over-the-counter/prescribed medicines or vitamins pull Iron out of your body? , and what types of foods should I be eating to acquire Iron naturally? Thanks!
Greeting Ehvjannea, Being constantly cold be be a problem with your thyroid function. Have you had it tested and is testing available to you? Also, assure that you are using iodized salt as I am guessing you are in a land deficient in iodine in the soil - many throid problems, much iodine deficiency. And yes, you could be low in iron, foods high in iron would be red meat, fortified cereals, baked beans, molasses, almonds, broccoli, meats of all sorts. Then to increase the absorption of the iron, consume a source of high vitamin C with the food high in iron. Vitamin C if found in fruits, fresh vegetables. Good luck to you, truly.
