Suggest Diuretic Medication Which Doesn T Counteract With Bystolic And Prozac

I ve taken bystolic for 5 years was raised from 5mg to 10 and was given hydrodiuril. My blood pressure was getting a little high. I was also taking generic prozac had to switch to Buspar for anxiety and menapause issues. I would like to go back to prozac, I felt so much calmer and relaxed. What diuretic can I take that won t conflict with bystolic and prozac?

Hello,

Welcome to HCM and thanks for the query.
I understand your concern.
There is a potential adverse interaction between bystolic and Prozac.
Prozac will increase the level and effect of bystolic by affecting hepatic enzyme CYP2D6 metabolism. You should monitor your heart rate and blood pressure carefully. This interaction is not present with Buspar.
Hydrochlorthiazide is a diuretic that you could use, because bystolic decreases the adverse effect of decreasing the Potassium by hydrochlorthiazide.
I am available if you have more queries.
Take Care
