Suggest Dosage For Pantoprazole

I have been taking Celecoxib 200mg everyday after the knee replacement surgery on 2/24/17, I also take pantoprazole 40mg twice daily. I have been having physical therapy and am doing well, 3 days ago I had an epigastric pain that was helped after pantoprazole. I stopped celecoxib for 2 days then resumed it today and the epigastric pain returned. Should I stopped taking it? I can t contact my surgeon until Monday. Thank you for your help.

Hello

Thank you for trusting HCM

Hello dear you can take pantaprazole 20mg daily before breakfast is sufficient. Few studies have shown that for patients taking NSAIDs continually, pantoprazole 20 mg o.d., pantoprazole 40 mg o.d., or omeprazole 20 mg o.d. provide equivalent, effective, and well-tolerated prophylaxis against GI lesions, including peptic ulcers.

I think I answered to your question if you have more questions feel free to ask.

Take care
