Suggest Dosage For Ramipril And Sudafed

I m taking 5mg of ramipril daily and would like to know if there are any decongestants I can take as well? I took 3 doses of sudafed yesterday without realising they shouldn t be taken if you have high blood pressure. My bp on ramipril is usually 120/80. I have a blocked nose and ears due to a heavy cold...no sinus pain.

Hi thanks for asking question.
You are taking ramipril 5 mg which is effective and your blood pressure is under control.
You have cold and for that you have taken pseudoephrine drug.
As far as drug interaction is concerned there are around 500 drugs that interact with it, but only few medicine can lead to major drug interaction and they are avoided.
For cold it is better you take cetrizine tablet or oxymetazoline nasal spray.nasal spray will immediately relieve your congestion.
So for short term use you can use some second generation antihistaminic drug like cetrizine.
I hope you understand my concern.
