Suggest Few Reliable Methods Of Testing Pregnancy

hi. I an quite a paranoid person. I was wondering if you could help me. An ex girlfriend took a pregnancy test at five in the afternoon, she would be thirteen weeks pregnant but the test came back negative. It was a firstvue test. How reliable would you say the result is?

Hi,
If the test has been done correctly as per the instructions in the kit then at thirteen weeks pregnancy it is definitely a reliable test.
If the first test was positive, then there are three possibilities.
1. The test was not done and read as per instructions on the kit.
2. It could be false positive due to protein or blood contaminant in the urine.
3. It is a biochemical pregnancy. This means that the pregnancy was initiated but vanished too early i.e. in a matter of few days. In this scenario if she has had regular periods before she would have started her periods by now.

Get a blood beta HCG test done. That will clarify every thing for you.
i hope I have answered to your satisfaction.
