Suggest First Aid Treatment For Accidental Intake Of Thinner
dear doc please suggest the first aid treatment of drinking thinner accidently. but it I dint not swallow it as It entered my mouth I spitted it out but then I experienced severe tongue burning and I gargled with water and used tooth paste thoroughly...
Actully frankly speaking ingestion of any of the foreign sunbstance should not be neglected & should be reported to ER , & it is advisable to be under the observation of the doctor atleast for 24 to 48 hrs even though the small amounts are ingested.
As you saying you have not swallowed the thinner there is no need of any treatment as such. You can have antacid medication such as pantoprazole 40 mg. You can use home remedys such as universal antidote which contains burnt bread/tost+ strong tea = chalk powder to be taken in equal parts & to be ingeted.
But as being a medical professional my advice would be you should have aphysicans consultation & be under his observation as per his gudance. reason behind this is many times in such caases small amount may reach the stomach, and even if this would have not happend small amount may have been absorbed via sublingual rout.
So why to take chances ???
