Hi! I am a 65 year old woman, 5 1 and weigh 201 pounds. Both parents died from heart disease, my father was a diabetic. I just had my annual appt. with my primary care physician, and after having blood work drawn, she told me that I am pre-diabetic and have fat on my liver. Up until I got married at 20 and started cooking for the first time, I was slim and trim. I grew up on a lake and spent my summers skiing, swimming, riding motorcycles, etc. Never thought much about food. My diet for the last 30 years has been totally unhealthy - my food comes out of either a bag or a box - fast food and carbs. I do want/need to finally take my health seriously and want to know if you would recommend healthy proteins for me. Thanks Just got to 2nd page - WILL NOT PAY FOR ANSWER.
