hiii..i m prerna,my age is 21 yrs n weight is 48 kg.i always have regular periods before time...but due to unsecure sex, 8 days are passed but periods are not startng this time...a few blood came on a day but stops next day.i m worried that i m pregnent....n i also take UNWANTED 72...yesterday i also tested with prega news..n result is positive...25 days are passed for that sex. what should i do...plzzz guide me.

Hi Prerna,
Unwanted 72 is used to prevent pregnancy. It needs to be taken preferably within 72 hours of unprotected sex. It does not cause abortion.

Since you are 55 days pregnant now, consult your doctor and use mifepristone followed 48 hours later by misoprostol for abortion. The earlier in pregnancy you use these medications, more effective they are. You usually abort within 24 hours of taking misoprostol.
There is a 5% chance that you may have heavy bleeding (soaking
2 pads/hour for more than two hours), incomplete abortion, or fail to abort. Therefore in cases of heavy bleeding, or persistent bleeding for more than 2weeks or if the bleeding does not start within 2 weeks you need to consult your doctor.
