Suggest Home Remedies To Reduce Weight

I am 63, overweight and under severe stress because I am without work. I sleep very badly, am extremely fatigued, and I smoke 15 cigarettes per day. Feel I can't exercise no matter how much I want to because I'm always tired. What is the solution (home remedies please) to get out of this rut?
