Suggest Importance Of Laser Treatment For Retinal Thinning Of Eyes
My doctor said i have retinal thinning in both eyes. He suggested that i have a laser treatment. I have minus 3.5 in my both eyes and am 36years old male. 1. Is it important to perform laser treatment? 2. how dangerous is it? 3. Do i need to come back for checking after surgery? 4. How is the percentage of success? 5. What would happend if i dont go for this laser treatment? thanks
1. yes it is important. 2. it is not dangerous in experienced hands (vitreoretinal surgeon) 3. yes, routine check in 2-3 weeks 4. 100% success! 5. Retinal thinning can often go unnoticed. However it carries a risk of retinal detachment. Since your thinning has been diagnosed, you should best undergo the laser treatment. But it is not an emergency! Take care!
