My mother is in the hospital with congestive heart failure with bnp at 12000 and hemoglobin at 7.3 . She is 82 years old, has mrsa and does not have the strength to stand up on her own. Should she be discharged tomorrow? I am going to Medicare and request a longer stay.

hi MRSA+ CARDIAC FAILURE: are the worst combination in the patient aged 82 years. low hb% is due to the resistant infection & sepsis. i suggest you to electively continue her stay in the hospital to get her treated with MRSA sensitive intravenous antibiotics as well as the added treatment for her cardiac status. most of the time BNP levels raise even due the acute infective states especially sepsis also specifically with heart failure. all the best take care
