Suggest Me Remedy For Greasy And Sticky Scalp As Shampooing Didn T Work.

For a short while I have had a problem with my hair and scalp. The roots of my hair have begun feeling quite sticky to the touch and have left my hair feeling greasy and heavy in places even straight after I have washed my hair. I have tried using a clarifying shampoo, washing as thoroughly as I can and I have even used baking powder - so far, no change. This is worse on the crown of my head, nape of my neck and area behind my ears.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

It may be seborrheic dermatitis. There may be greasy scales on the scalp and one feels discomfort and hair loss. The cause would be poor hygiene, mental stress and poor immunity. Consult the Dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment. Do shampoo with ketoconazole containing shampoo daily. Apply steroid with salicylic asid lotion on the scalp at night. Take antifungal like fluconazole 400 mg weekly. Avoid stress and anxiety. .ok

Hope this helps.
