Suggest Me Treatment For Chest And Head Aches After Down Fall Of Half Meters.

Hello, My little boy (7 years) fell off a horizontal rope at the playground yesterday afternoon. It was 1/2 a metre off the ground. He landed on the back of his head and complained of headaches and chest aches. Last night the headache stopped however he is still complaining of chest pains when he moves. Should I have xrays done. What do you advise? Many thanks Karen

Hello
Welcome to healthcaremagic
His Complaints are because of blunt injury because of fall.If doesn't vomit,no ENT bleed with normal sensorium and normal sized normally reacting pupils then not to worry for head injury
For chest injury see if he has difficulty in breathing. Since you are saying that it is paining him on movement then x ray would be helpful to rule out fracture.
Initial treatment for both is painkiller like ibuprofen and application of ice at the site of injury.Hope this solves your query
Regards
