Hi. I twisted hairs in the pelvis region below the navel. Some hairs came out when I twisted little hard. The skin has become dry and little dark and very itchy because of that. There is a red mole which appears red from inside. What Should I Do? Thanks.
As per your case history you are having folliculitis. Twisting of hair may lead to hair follicle infection. My treatment advice is:
1. Never twist hair. It may cause recurrent folliculitis. 2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like Fusiderm cream twice daily on it. 3. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics like Levofloxacin and oral NSAID like Ibuprofen only taken after consulting a dermatologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
