Suggest Medication For Abdominal Pain And Vomiting After Removing Gall Bladder
My husband had his gall bladder removed a week ago. He went to the emergency room the next day because he was having hot/cold flashes and vomiting. They got him stable and sent him home. It's been a week and he is still unable to eat or drink much. he has lost about 30lbs and still have abdominal pains. what do you suggest?
post cholecystectomy pain maybe due to stones in common bile duct OR fat intolerance OR functional pain.
advice: - take nexium/pantocid 40mg once daily before breakfast (for the rest of your life) - take metoclopramide or domeperidone before meals for 3 to 5 days - get an ultrasound (abdomen) to rule out any stone remnants in common bile duct - also get a complete blood cell count(CBC) test - avoid OILY and fat food altogether - avoid eating stomach full and mouth full - avoid spicy food and junk food
wish you good health. further queries are welcomed.
