Suggest Medication For Acne

hey I popped a pimple right before a music festival and it came back as a bigger one. While i was at the festival i popped it again and, being at Electric Forest, it wasn t the cleanest of places. The pimple was on the side of my lip where the mouth opens. So it was basically an open wound at electric forest and It turned into a scab that I think got infected. Right when i got back from the festival i started to break out around the scab right around the same time I put a bandaid with antibacterial cream on the scab. Now its been about three weeks and the side of my face with the scab has continued to break out and im not sure what to do. before this I never got acne, maybe a pimple or two but now its spread quite a bit.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have noticed acne which occur because skin has increased sensitivity of getting pigmented and it leads to post inflammation hyper-pigmentation. You should apply MELALITE XL cream which is combination of hydroquinone + Tretinoin + steroid and apply it at night time.I would suggest you to wash your face daily with cold water and face wash containing salycylic acid twice a day and apply cream containing azelac acid which is good for acne as well as marks . Apply aloe vera gel at night . If condition doesn't get well in a week then consult dermatologist for proper examination and treatment . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like minocyclin, steroid ointment and may recommend chemical peeling for marks .
