General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted your history well and understood the concerns.
My thoughts:
The chronology of symptoms starting from feeling dust in throat then itching in throat, pain while talking, painful speaking while teaching students, advised not to talk as throat is swollen indicate that you have combined problem of allergy leading to secondary infection leading to further symptoms as you have explained.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
First of all avoid pollution, use masks meant for this purpose, you will get acquainted to new masks soon as it is difficult in the initial period to be with masks.
Consult an ENT Surgeon for proper clinical evaluation, Examination ans investigations to support the diagnosis,
This will ensure proper treatment as pr the findings.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
