Suggest Medication For Bleeding Of Wound On Calf
Hello, my 2 years old niece has stepped on a sewing needle which went through her calf and got stuck about 1/2 inch deep for good 10 minutes. Once her mom noticed the needle she removed it immediately and tried to squeeze the blood out of her wound. Please advised if her wound needs to be treated for any infections.

Hi... The child will need local wound care with cleaning with antiseptic lotion like beta dine.Also the child should receive his routine immunization to prevent tetanus infection.Keep watch on swelling or formation of pus or fever. At present there is no need of antibiotics.
