hi, a couple of days ago, i was farting a number of times while i was watching a show. when i got home i was surprised to see my briefs with blood. I pooped and saw blood which seems quite a lot and its the first time in my life this happened. Just now when i woke up, my shorts have a lot of blood in it. i went to the toilet and pooped. it was watery and i saw my poop was blood . i could not determine whether it is dark red or red blood since it was mixed with the usual water that is always left in the toilet bowl after flushing.this is the second time it happened. what could be my problem?
HI Thank for asking to HCM I can understand your concern, blood stain stool without any associate symptoms or history may be due to diet taken, as such you do not have any associate symptoms like abdomen pain, fatigue, nausea, headache so it is nothing to worry till it is being confirmed the melena. I could only say that it may be infection, protozoa is very likely (Amibiasis ) is likely, but the most important to confirm the blood stain stool and for that I would suggest to get done the routine stool examination, Medication:- On tentative basis condition can be managed with Tab Metronidazole 400 mg twice in day for five days, hope this information helps.
