I have had a cold, mainly a cough since November. It was a cold, went away and came right back. I am not sure the cough ever really stopped. Now I have pain in the right side and back when I cough. I have no fever (I did during the main part of the cold) and my energy level is okay -not great but not terrible. I have to sleep sitting up even with Nyquil. Is there really anything I need to be concerned with?
from your history as you said cough is present since november it shows it is either infectious origin.you did not say wether it is productive cough or dry cough.anyway it can be bacterial or viral origin.now we can try emperical antibiotic and cough syrup for one week. i suggest you to have tab-novacef 500 twice a day for 5 days and syrup-corex thrice a day.even if you do nto get relieved with it you can get an chestxray to visualise the lungs. and the pain on right side back is probably due to continous cough.
