Suggest Medication For Cold And Sore Left Ear

Hi , my 14 year old has a head cold but is now complaining of a very sore left ear . I have tried to get her into the doctor but I cannot until tomorrow, is it safe to put waxol in to try and relieve the pain, will this help or make it worse.

give proper medicine for cold, that can be the reason behind her ear problem, alongwith this use nasal decongestant drops and ibugesic plus for pain
