Suggest Medication For Cold
hi.. my granny is suffering from cold from almost a month.. no tablets are helping.. she has taken cold tablets and antibiotics.. now she is on dose of penicillin.. Its not getting better.. I am scared that it might be something serious.. she is 75 yrs old now.. she is fit thou.

cough is because of bacterial viral allergic or medications induced. some cough syrup having drugs like bromhexine also induces cough to bring the sputum from the lungs .it may also be the cause .Any way long sanding cough has to be investigated like chest xray pa view, CRP, HB,Tc,DC,ESR, blood culture and sensitivity,
depending upon the severity of the disease , she might need iv antibiotics or oral antibiotics combined with anti histamines like ebastine. hope this explains
