Suggest Medication For Delayed And Irregular Periods
hello doctor.. i am 22.. my periods is been delayed by 63 days.. my cycle is irregular but recently i had physical contact wit my guy and my afraid whether il be pregnant.. i took meprate 10 mg tablets for the past 5 days....please help me out with this...
As your periods are irregular, it is difficult to guess the time of ovulation. If you have not used any contraceptive method, the possibility of pregnancy cannot be ruled out. Meprate tablets containing progesterone can help in inducing the withdrawal bleeding in non pregnant women, whereas in pregnant women can't do the needful. So if you want to be sure, please go for a blood test for pregnancy or ultrasound to rule out the possibility of pregnancy.
If serum beta HCG levels are less than 5 mIU/mL in the blood test, it rules out the pregnancy. Ultrasound by showing the empty uterus can rule out the possibility of pregnancy. After ruling out the possibility of pregnancy, you can wait for one more week and possibly by that time you can get the withdrawal bleeding induced by Meprate.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
