Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
It seems one of my 2 antidepressants is no longer helping. I started on 150 mg Imipramine, now up to 250 mg.100 mg Zoloft was added 20 yrs ago. Up to 200 mg there. Considering Welbutrin, Effexor, reduce Zoloft to 100 mg. Can my Primary Care Doctor do this? YYYY@YYYY Thank you.
I went through your details. The medicines you are taking are apt for your depression. Usually depression is treated with a combination of psychotherapy, meditation exercise and medicines. You are already having medicines. Now start practicing the other three and wait and watch for two weeks period. I am sure you will be able to manage your depression effectively.
