Suggest Medication For Diarrhea, bloating Of Stomach And Pain In Abdominal Area
Hi, Ive had diarrhea, gas and bloating for the past 3 weeks I see my doctor in a coupe of days to go over stool sample results, Now I just started having pain in my lower right side. Also I don t have an overt on the right side. I don t have a fever or vomiting. Can these be symptoms of appendicitis?
Hi The pain you mentioned can be associated simply with diarrhea. You have already done stool test. Or it can be due to appendicitis or a variety of other causes like peptic ulcer perforation, testicular torsion, cyst etc However, appendicitis pain usually starts at the umbilicus and then shifts towards the right lower side. Fever and nausea can also occur. To rule out appendicitis, a doctor examines the patient to elicit some physical signs. As far as labs are concerned, we do blood count for raised white cell count, an xray abdomen and an ultrasound abdomen (and pelvis in case of females usu.) and also to rule out other causes of pain right lower abdomen.
Continue doctor's treatment for diarrhea, take a smooth muscle relaxant in the meantime like phloroglucinol. You can also take other analgesics. Ask again if you have any query.
