Suggest Medication For Difficulty In Swallowing After Treatment For Esophagal Cancer

my mother is 65 years and had a treatment for cancer of esophagus(chemo, surgery and radiation). all treatment completed 15 days back. even though she can swallow the food easily. after 5 or 6 spoons it will stop. it will not go inside. As per endoscopy she is having erosive and Anastmosia. Pls advice the medication for this and pls adivce why she can not eat the food easily.

The erosive mucositis at anastamosis site is due to effects of radiation therapy. It will take time to heal.
Meanwhile she may benefit from suspension sucrulfate which is taken orally and forms a protective layer over mucosa (inner lining). A mild opioid analgesic will also help. Give her soft foods at present and energy drinks / supplements like ensure will help. Small frequent meals rather than few large would benefit her.
