Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a low blood pressure buit am worried about how dizzy I get especially in the mornings. This dizziness has been happening for years and seems to get worse as one gets older. It only happens when bending up and down too much and Too fast mornings only Is there anything I can take or is there something lacking in my diet. This happens even if I have or have not eaten. I just wait for the dizziness to pass then all is well. Look forward to your advice thanks
HI welcome to HCM. Low blood pressure can contribute to dizzy spells to lack of effective circulatory tone.Drugs like fludrocortisone and Midodrine will help to restore the blood pressure.Adequately hydrate yourself with 3-4 liters of water a day.Dietary intake of sodium to 6gm/day is advised.Avoid blood pressure lowering drugs.Get a 2 dimensional echocardiography to rule out cardiac lesions of heart.Consult your doctor for further help. Thank you
