Hello, I am having skin infection. When I touch there I feel the skin is dead nd also itching sensation is there if I move out without putting cream . Is tocoderm a good option to put over on the infected portion. If not, can you please suggest some good option to be back to normal skin?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of dry and itchy skin which seems to be due to allergic reaction to cosmetics, foods, detergents, poison ivy which can cause allergic dermatitis. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to start taking anti allergic medications such as Allegra. You should maintain proper cleanliness and avoid scratching the bumps to prevent infection. If symptoms still keeps on persisting you should visit dermatologist once and get it examined. Go for patch test and blood tests and start treatment after proper prescription. You should apply a steroid ointment like cortisone over the rash area for relieving inflammation and itching. Application of calamine lotion will be effective to soothe the skin. Apply cold compresses over itchy rashes.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
