Suggest Medication For Epilepsy Without Side Effects
Sir, My mother aged 49 is having epilepsy since 2009, he is using zenoxa od 450 from 2009 to mar-2013 side effects come by zenosa od 450 down sodium and potasium level too low also nausa. after he has Encorate Chrono 500mg twice a day since mar-2013 years. Will there be any side effects for this tablet. along with encorate chrono he is using frisium 5 mg at night times.

zenoxa is good anti epileptic medication but notorious for hypomatremia especially in elderly.
valproate is good drug but have liver toxicity and can cause weight gain.
I would suggest tab lamotrigene or levetiracetam.
choice of drug depends if types and etiology if seizures.
get detail work up done in the former of 3 T MRI scan brain and EEG.
