Hello,
Thank you for posting on HCM.
I appreciate your concern regarding your dull face and dark spots. Basically, as per your description, i think your having oily skin with little acne/pimples which after healing have produced dark spots.
You have tried variety of medications, which have not brought satisfactory results.
Thus i would suggest you can definitely opt for Chemical peeling. Its a simple office procedure, pretty safe yet effective and cost effective treatment. Consult your dermatologist, who would suggest you series of either Glycolic/Salicylic/Jessner peel etc depending on your skin condition. Chemical peels basically removes your dead skin, decreases pimples, pigmentation/dark spots and open pores and leaves your skin rejuvenated.
Apart from peels, you will be prescribed certain medications like tretinoin etc to prepare your skin for peeling and post peel you be prescribed high SPF sunscreen and good moisturizer.
Avoid pricking,scratching, peeling of skin.
Have plenty of fresh fuits and vegetable in your diet and abstain from alcohol and tobacco.
Hope this will solve your queries and wish you best of health.
Thank you,
Dr Hardik Pitroda
