Suggest Medication For Excessive Vaginal Discharge

I have been to see my GN in relation to excessive vaginal discharge during sexual intercourse. I have always had this problem, and it causes me to have no friction during sex which is very frustrating for me and my partner, my GN said there are a number of different glands in the intimate area which are difficult to remove and that nothing can be done except keep trying different contraceptive pills which could take years, is this really my only option? or is there another treatment available as the GN has never heard of this before so she may not be aware of other treatments, all blood checks and tests show im otherwise healthy in that area

Hallow Dear,

In fact whenever woman is aroused sexually, there is always increased mucous discharge from the vagina. This is natures arrangement for free penile entry and intercourse without friction. Hence I am surprised to note that in spite of increased vaginal discharge, you are having excessive vaginal irritation. This is possible when the vaginal discharge is infective one.

Yeast or fungal infetion, trichomonal infestation and bacterial vaginosis are the thee types of commoner infections of vagina. Fungal infection has a curdy white flaky discharge with flakes. It can be treated with local antifungal ointments and Lactobacilli lotions. Trichimonal discharge is greenish white discharge which is treated with Metronidazole tablets. Both these infections cause itching of vagina and burning after urine is passes. Bacterial vaginosis is increased mucoid discharge. It can be treated with antibiotics (Doxycyclin).

Many a times bacterial vaginosis discharge is mistaken as increased secretions during the sex.

All these infections do cause vaginal irritation and friction feeling during sex. Whatever infection, use of Lactobacilli lotion or pessaries will definitely give some relief.

There are Bartholin's glands situated under the outer lips of vulva. Sexually transmitted infections like gonorrhoea or clamidia infect these glands cusing abscess which may cause pus discharge. These infections can be treated with suitable infections like penicilline.

I would advise you to get the discharge examined from the laboratory to identify its cause and type so that the suitable treatment can be given. Prima facae, to me it appears to be Bacterial vaginosis; however, without having a look at it or without proper description, it is very difficult to pinpoint. I would appreciate if you get the reports of this discharge and then communicate to me again by asking a Direct question. I would be keen in helping you.

I hope this helps you in this issue.
