Suggest Medication For Extreme Burning Sensation Of Vagina After Having Sex

I have recently started experiencing vaginal pain about 24 hours after sex. (burning) This has been going on for about 5 months, I am in a monogomous relationship and we were both tested for STDs early in our relationship and again two weeks ago. We are both clean. I do not have a yeast infection or bacterial vaginosis. My doctor seems to be at a loss for what it could be. Any suggestions?

Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. Vaginal pain after intercourse can result from infections, narrowing of the canal either secondary to infection, surgery or menopause and perimenopause. Rough intercourse also can lead to pain. As you have excluded infection, you can ask your doctor if you need any dilatation. If there is not proper priming with adequate vaginal secretion and Bartholin secretion prior to the intercourse, lack of sufficient lubrication can also result in trauma. K-Y jelly can help ease the dryness in such a case. Hope you find this information useful. Take care.
