Suggest Medication For Fever,diarrhea And Blood In Stool

I ve had a cold/flu for two weeks getting better and worse through out. Two days ago I had a fever and couldn t eat. Diarrhea came right around the time of the fever a little bit after and my poo is completely liquid and I m noticing it might be blood too. The doctor said the fever and sore throat were a viral infection so no need for a antibiotic.I ve been taking fever reducer medicine for two days and up until today some medicine for the diarrhea. I m currently in brazil and haven t taken any vaccines yet =S

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you are having symptoms of fever,diarrhea and blood in stool which seems to be due to acute gastroenteritis and electrolyte imbalance in body. It could be due to poor immunity and increased susceptibility of getting infected. Need not to worry. I would suggest you not to panic at all. You should start treatment with combination of fluoroquinolones and ornidazole. Visit gastroenterologist once and get it examined and start treatment after prescription. You should get intravenous fluid administration as well. Avoid taking Domperidone. Avoid hot, sharp and spicy food. Take banana on daily basis and light food. Drink plenty of fluids to rehydrate body.
