Hi,
1. Air travel while being on
clarithromycin is usually not recommended to be avoided as it may not cause significant side effects in relation to air travel in many people.
2. It may be not to take antibiotic medications such as
amoxicillin without a current prescription.
3.
Bronchitis can cause most common symptoms such as wet cough with yellow/green sputum, stuffy nose/cold, weakness, fatigue,
chest discomfort, difficulty in breathing, etc.
As you may know but acute bronchitis may subside in about 7-10 days usually.
When chest sounds are clear, it may unlikely usually and possible causes can be upper
respiratory tract infections, sinusitis, etc. with chest congestion.
4. Taking prescribed medications by the treating doctor and trying a few remedies such as steam inhalation, nasal lavage with over the counter saline solution, warm salt water gargles, drinking warm fluids, turning on humidifier and heater in room, taking plenty of rest and taking over the counter medications such as Benadryl, Claritin, etc. may help in the meanwhile.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Divya Teja Pasupuleti, General & Family Physician
